Battery Storage & Removal
NOTE: For long term storage, your device
should be stored at room temperature
with the battery charged to about 40% to
60% of the battery capacity. The battery
should be charged once every three
months to retain optimal performance. If
the device has been stored for more than
three months, the battery should be fully
discharged and then fully recharged again.
This appliance contains an embedded
Lithium Polymer battery, which is not
intended to be replaced. Do not attempt to
replace the battery. This could result in the
risk of re or electric shock. Do not tamper
with the device’s internal components.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
Do not put in re or mutilate the battery
during disposal as it may burst or release
toxic materials.
When your appliance reaches the end of its
useful life, the battery must be removed
and recycled or disposed of properly in
accordance with your local, provincial,
state and/or government requirements.
The battery is to be disposed of safely.
To remove the battery, do the following:
1. Disconnect the front panel by pushing
from the bottom (place of the
Thermicon® Tip) with a screwdriver.
2. Pull the circuit and the battery from the
plastic frame.
3. Disconnect the battery wires from the
circuit.
To prevent the battery pack from leaking,
self-heating, or re, please observe the
following precautions:
Be aware that a discharged battery
may cause re or smoke. Tape the
terminals to insulate them.
The soft aluminum packing foil is very
easily damaged by sharp-edged parts
such as Ni-tabs, pins and needles. Do
not strike at battery pack with any
sharp-edged parts.
Do not immerse the battery pack in
water or seawater.
Do not leave the battery pack near a
heat source as re or heater.
Do not leave the battery pack at very
high ambient temperatures.
Do not short-circuit the battery pack
by directly connecting the positive and
negative terminal with metal object
such wire.
Do not transport or store the battery
together with metal objects such as
necklaces, hairpins etc.
Do not strike or throw the battery pack.
Do not pierce the battery with a nail or
other sharp object.
If the battery pack leaks and the
electrolyte get into the eyes, do not rub
eyes, instead, rinse the eyes, with clean
running water, and immediately seek
medical attention.
If the battery pack gives o an odor,
generates heat, becomes discolored or
deformed, or in any way appears
abnormal during storage, immediately
move it to a reproof container.
