The messaging feature is a great way to communicate
with individuals or with groups through text messages
(SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS). You can share
pictures, video clips, and contacts with other compatible
phones and to email addresses. You can add a subject
line, an attachment, or save the text as a draft.
Type a message
To type a message, you will use the main keypad on the
phone along with the navigation keys.
• For text (letters) input, press a number key, 2-9,
repeatedly until the desired character is displayed. If
the next letter your want is located on the same key,
wait until the cursor shows again.
• For numbers 1,2,3... long-press the corresponding key
to get the number you want.
• To insert a punctuation mark, a special character, or an
emoji, press the * key, use the navigation keys to scroll
to the symbol, and then press the Center key.
• If you want to delete letters or symbols, press the Back
key to delete them one-by-one.

Settings > Personalization > Input methods > English
• Use predictive: Using the predictive text mode allows
the app to suggest a word based on an internal
dictionary, after you start typing. You can select the
suggested word or continue typing.
• User dictionary: Add words that are not recognized
by the internal dictionary such as nicknames, or other
unique words, so that the device learns to recognize
them.
• Press the # key: Switch between “Abc > abc >
ABC > 123 > Predictive” modes once you are in the
texting screen.
