Get a strong signal
When you are at the start screen (see page 7) or in
a call, the strength of the radio signal is indicated
by the signal indicators on the left side of your
phone’s display. These indicators scroll as the
signal strength increases and decreases.
To improve your phone’s reception, try moving your phone
slightly. If you’re inside a building, move toward a window.

Volume adjustment (earpiece)
To adjust the earpiece volume, press or during a
call. If an accessory with its own loudspeaker is connected
to your phone, the scroll keys will adjust the volume for that
accessory.
Muting the microphone
When you are in a call, you can mute the phone’s
microphone by pressing , pressing

. To unmute the microphone, press ,
