d) The defect or damage was caus
ed by defective function of the cellular
system or by inadequate signal reception by
the external antenna.
e) The Product was used with or conne
cted to accessory not supplied by
Nokia, not fit for use with Nokia cellular
phones or used in other than its
intended use.
f) The battery was short circuited or
seals of the battery enclosure or cells
are broken or show evidence of tampering
or the battery was used in
equipment other that for which is has be
en specified.
10. If a problem develops during th
e limited warranty period, the Consumer
should take the following step-by-step
procedure:
a) The Consumer shall return the Produc
t to the place of purchase for repair
or replacement processing.
b) If "a" is not convenient, the Consume
r may contact the local Nokia office
for the location of the nearest aut
horised service centre.
c) The Consumer shall arrange for the
Product to be delivered to the
authorised service centre. Expenses relate
d to removing the Product
from an installation are not covered unde
r this limited warranty.
d) The Consumer will be billed for any
parts or labor charges not covered
by this limited warranty. The Consumer
shall be responsible for expenses
related to reinstallation of the Pro
duct.
e) In case of certain operator specific
features in the Product such as SIM-
lock, Nokia reserves the right to refer the
Consumer to the relevant
cellular operator before service will be p
rovided.
f) If the Product is returned to Nokia
after the expiration of the warranty
period, Nokia’s normal service polici
es shall apply and the Consumer will
be charged accordingly.
11. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MER
CHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICUL
AR
PURPOSE OR USE, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE D
URATION OF THE FOREGOING
WRITTEN WARRANTY. OTHERWISE, TH
E FOREGOING WARRANTY IS THE
