SETTING UP THE UNIT
Ensure
that all installation and operating instructions and safety precautions are understood and
carefully followed by anyone installing or using the Charger.
Follow
the steps outlined in the “SAFETY PRECAUTIONS” section of this manual.
When using this charger in proximity to the car’s battery and engine, stand the maintainer on a flat,
stable surface and be sure to keep all clamps, eyelets, cords, clothing and body parts away from
moving parts of the car. Keep enough space around the appliance for allowing adequate ventilation.
Incorrect connection, battery short circuit, location of battery and location of the battery charger may
create a hazard. Make sure that adequate preparation has been made before proceeding.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT:
ALWAYS disconnect the AC power cord from the AC power outlet before
connecting (or disconnecting) the charger to (or from) the battery.
IMPORTANT:
This power system is to be used ONLY on cars with 6V DC or 12V DC
battery system. Do NOT connect to a 24V DC battery system.
