During Battery Charging
IMPORTANT
Connect and setup the unit properly to start the charging.
If the Fault Icon lights up, unplug the charger from main power, and connect clamps or terminal
rings by respecting the polarity.
If the unit is connected to mains socket but the clamps/terminal rings do not connect to the battery, the
LCD screen will display 6V Icon or 12V Icon .
CHARGING
1. After connect and set-up the unit, the LCD screen will display Icon or Icon, and the empty
battery icon as well. After few seconds, the charging process will start automatically.

To indicate the unit is in charging mode,
the charging current

and the battery voltage

displays alternatively for every 3 seconds. And the LCD screen displays the
Icon,

and the “

” Icon.
3. When the battery is completely charged, the charger will automatically go into
Float Charge Mode
,
and the LCD screen will display the or , the empty battery icon , and the FLO Icon
as well.
* In this mode, the charger monitors the battery voltage and charges as necessary to assure the
battery maintains full capacity.
* The charger remains in Float Charge Mode as long as the charger is connected to the battery and
is plugged into a functioning AC mains socket.
4. Press any buttons during charging process, the unit will go to the corresponding mode.
ATTENTION:
a. If select the 12V charging mode to charge a 6V battery, the unit will do a self-check after few
minutes to confirm if it’s a 12V battery. If the unit detects it is a 12V battery, keep 12V charging
process. If the unit detects it’s a 6V battery, it will go to 6V charging mode, and flashes the 12V Icon
and the Fault Icon .
b. If select the 6V charging mode to charge a 12V battery, the unit will change to 12V charging mode,
and flashes the 6V Icon and the Fault Icon . If it is an internal short circuit 12V battery, it may
keep charging at 6V charging mode but the battery will not be charged fully.
c. If the charger is overheated, the charging process will automatically terminate and the LCD screen
will flash the Overheat Icon and the Fault Icon , the empty battery icon and the 6V Icon
or the 12V Icon will light solid.
Disconnect the charger and allow the charger to cool for several minutes. Make sure there is
adequate ventilation around the unit before attempting to charge again.
