For model N300X - a 2.7 cu. ft., 2-way or 3-way, refrigerator.

The models numbers of 3-way refrigerators contain “.3”. The model numbers of 2-way

refrigerators do not.

The letter “X” in the model number above, stands for a letter or a numeral which means a

refrigerator option.

indoor cabin or other dwelling applications. This refrigerator

must use only NORCOLD designed and approved outside air

intake and exhaust ventilation for correct and safe operation.

Any other ventilation could cause lethal combustion exhaust

fumes and/or explosive propane gas fumes to be in the living

area and/or to be below deck.

How to replace the thermostat on a Norcold Refrigerator?

  To replace the thermostat on your Norcold Refrigerator: 1. Close the valve of the propane gas tank(s). 2. Pull the knob off the thermostat. 3. Remove the gas supply line from the inlet flare fitting of the thermostat. 4. Remove the safety valve from the thermostat. 5. Remove the two screws that attach the thermostat to the bracket. 6. Remove the two red wires from the thermostat. 7. Remove the clips that attach the capillary tube to the cooling fin inside the refrigerator. 8. Gently pull the capillary tube through the back of the refrigerator cabinet. 9. To install the replacement thermostat, do steps 1-8 in reverse. 10. Make sure the capillary tube is flat against the cooling fin. 11. Examine all the gas connections for leaks.

  To replace the selector switch on your Norcold Refrigerator: 1. Removal of refrigerator from enclosure is required for access to rear of control panel. 2. With refrigerator removed from enclosure: Pull knob from selector switch. 3. Remove screws or nut attaching selector switch to control panel. 4. Gently remove selector switch from back of control panel. 5. If replacing Ark-les to Ark-les (Art01020 / Art01021) or Marquardt to Marquardt (Art635402) selector switch, working on one wire at a time, remove and install each wire in the exact same position on new selector switch. 6. Insert selector switch through rear of control panel. 7. Fasten selector switch to control panel with supplied screws or nut. 8. Attach control knob to selector switch. 9.
