5. Remove the conduit connector from the Material Level Probe
Assembly. Open the Control Assembly Enclosure and discon-
nect the Material Level Probe cable. Pull through the conduit
and discard. (Figure 4)
6. Open the Heater Assemblly Enclosure. Disconnect the two
wires (#7 and #4B) from the tank thermostat. (Figure 1)
7. Remove the two screws hlolding the tank thermostat to the
enclosure. Pull the tank thermostat out of the enclosure and
discard.
8. Remove the conduit nut and pull the conduit away from the
enclosure.
9. The unit can now be moved away from the Melter Feeder.
10. Disconnect the support column by removing the four (4) screws
holding the support column to the base. Lay the Melter Feeder
on one side.
11. (Units with 2” base only) Disconnect the support column by the
following procedure:
a. Tilt the Melter Feeder assembly on one side.
b. Remove the four (4) screws attaching the support
column to the base.
c. Separate the support column from the base.
12. Drill four (4) holes in the support column following the pat-
tern indicated below. (Figure 2)

13. Reattach the support column to the base using the new hole
pattern. This will lower the Melter Feeder to the proper posi-
