      If your Nortel Telephone isn't working, try unplugging the line cord from the telephone and plugging it back in. If your telephone uses external power, ensure the transformer or closet power supply is properly connected and that the power supply board is properly installed. If it doesn't use external power, ensure jumpers connect the bottom two sets of pins on the P1 connector on the main circuit board.

      If the display on your Nortel Telephone isn't working, try unplugging the line cord and plugging it back in. For M2008 models, ensure the transformer is plugged in or the closet power is connected and that the power supply board is properly installed. Also, check that the display ribbon cable is properly connected to the display board and isn't pinched, and ensure the display board is correctly installed and held securely with a mounting screw. For M2006, M2008, and M2616 models, ensure that ADD class of service is configured in LD 11.

      If the MCA on your Nortel Telephone doesn't operate, check the LED in the back of the telephone to see if it is flashing. Also, make sure the cable from your terminal or PC is connected to the MCA, and check the data parameters for your display. Be sure the transformer is plugged in, or the closet power is connected. Ensure the cable between the MCA and your telephone is connected and not pinched. Finally, be sure the power card is installed correctly.

      If the Key Expansion Module for your Nortel Telephone isn't working, try unplugging and plugging in the line cord. Ensure that the transformer is plugged in or that the closet power supply is connected, and that the power supply board is installed properly. Also, make sure that the ribbon cable connecting the telephone and the Key Expansion Module is routed properly and isn't pinched.

      If the External Alerter for your Nortel Telephone isn't working, ensure that the External Alerter Board is installed properly. Check that connections between the alerting device and the telephone connecting block are correct. Make sure that the jumpers are placed on the pins on the External Alerter Board as described. Ensure that the transformer is plugged in or the closet power is connected, and that the power supply board is installed properly.
