Turn motor on.
NOTE:
a) Make sure the hydraulic oil is above 10F before starting the motor. Cold hydraulic oil can
damage the hydraulic pump. In addition, cold hydraulic oil is viscous and requires much more
power to push through the hydraulic system. The motor will automatically turn off if the
system is drawing too much power.
b) If oil temperature is between 10F and 32F, allow the motor to run without moving the
wedge for at least five minutes. After five minutes, extend and retract the wedge 10-15 times
to circulate and warm the hydraulic oil before splitting wood.
c) The log splitter can be started and run normally if the oil temperature is above 32F.
Turn ECO mode on (if desired).
a) Activate ECO mode using the switch shown below. If the log splitter is left inactive for 30
seconds, ECO mode will shut the motor off to conserve battery.
b) Push main power switch back to the ‘on’ position to restart the log splitter if ECO mode
shuts off the motor.
