Condition with emergency extension input active (Door open)
In this situation, if the procedure generating the shutdown has been activated, the UDS-4N does not enter the release
phase until the "emergency extension" input signal returns to the rest condition.
The emergency prolongation condition is signalled in the UDS-4N by:
– active buzzer;
– emergency extension" led on;
– emergency extension" output active;
If this input is activated during the pre-discharge warning condition, it also occurs:
– intermittent activation of the siren/alarm output (0.5s in OFF and 1.0s in ON).
This state is self-restoring by returning the input to the home position.
Condition with emergency abort input active (Abort)
If present during the "Standby condition", the "Pre-activated condition", the "Pre-discharge warning condition", the
"Emergency extension condition", or the "Activated condition" with at least one of the siren output and the shutdown
output excluded, the UDS-4N cannot activate the shutdown output or go into the "Release condition".
As long as the "emergency interrupt" input remains active and a reset has not been performed, the UDS-4N remains in
the emergency interrupt condition.
This condition is indicated by:
– emergency interruption" led on;
– active buzzer;
– shutdown interruption" output active;
This state cannot be restored by returning the input to the home position.
The release can only be completed by manually acting on the extinguishing fluid valves to activate the flow switch inlet
and then the pressure switch inlet.
Release condition
The UDS-4N enters this condition if it has received a signal from the flow switch input or, if programmed, immediately
after the pre-release period.
In this condition, the UDS-4N activates the shutdown output, and manages the release cycle by controlling the flow
switch and pressure switch inputs.
This condition is indicated by:
– Release in progress" LED on;
– active buzzer and acoustic warning;
– activation "siren output" always ON;
– activation of 'release output in progress';
– indication in the 'Switch-off' screen of the event related to the 'Extinguishing release condition' by the text 'Switch-
off output drive'.
