NOTIFIER ITALIA Doc. M--203.1-UDS4N-ENG Rev A. 1 UDS-4_manu
Shutdown fault condition
This condition occurs when there is a fault with one of the controlled inputs or outputs.
In the event of a fault, signalling takes place as follows:
General fault" led flashing;
blinking "shutdown fault" led;
active buzzer;
activation of 'general fault output';
indication, in the "UDS fault" screen, of the event related to a fault with a detailed description.
In the event of a fault in the "Emergency extension" or "Emergency interruption" inputs, these prevent the
extinguishing procedure.
With the "pressure switch active" input, without the "release condition" being activated, the UDS-4N enters the
"agent leakage fault condition" and also signals the "agent leakage" fault. In this condition, the "Extinguishing
system fault/exclusion" output is also activated.
In the event of activation, with the above fault condition, it will always be possible to carry out the shutdown cycle.
Manual only mode condition
This condition can be achieved by an activation command in the "Manual only shutdown" input or by accessing the
"CONF" menu with access level 2.
In this condition, the UDS-4N handles only the signal coming from the "manual shutdown activation" input; any other pre-
activation/activation signals are ignored.
This mode is indicated by:
LED "Manual mode only" lit;
Manual-only switch-off' output active.
In 'Manual only mode', if the 'Manual shutdown activation' input fails, the shutdown output cannot be activated.
Out-of-service condition
This condition is given by the presence of at least one exclusion among the input/output signals associated with the
shutdown.
The following items can be excluded:
manual activation input
implies that the activation of the shutdown phases is only possible from signals coming from the pre-alarm and alarm
input or from loops, any signalling of activation of the manual input is ignored, while any failure of the transmission
medium is signalled.
pre-alarm output
implies that the pre-alarm output is not activated in case of "pre-activated condition".
pilot cylinder outlet / directional valve
implies that the pilot cylinder/directional valve output is not operated in case of "activated condition".
shutdown output
In this case, the 'release condition' cannot be achieved by the following input devices:
Activation by terminal block inputs
activation by analogue loop
manual activation
In the case of a "condition triggered" by one of the above input devices, it occurs that:
the switch-off output is not controlled;
the current release output is not controlled;
the siren output is controlled.
Only if an activation signal is present in the flow switch input, the UDS-4N will switch to the "release condition" [UNI EN
12094-1 4.15.1].
