8 - COMMISSIONING
Installation of the UDS-4N panel must be done after carefully reading the instructions in this manual.
After mechanical installation of the shutdown unit, perform the following operations:
• Correctly size the batteries to be used by checking the autonomy that the system must guarantee in the event of
a 230Vac mains failure.
• Connect the UDS-4N to the 230Vac power supply using a three-core cable: phase, earth, neutral on terminal
strip CN1 (earth connection is mandatory). The cable must be fixed to the cabinet with a cable clamp so that it
cannot be accidentally pulled out.
The power supplies must be connected in the following sequence:
• open the main switch of the 230Vac mains system supplying the control unit;
• Disconnect the CN1 terminal block from the control unit;
• connect the 230Vac mains power cable to the CN1 terminal block;
• connect terminal block CN1 to the control unit;
• close the 230 Vac mains main switch;
• install and connect the batteries as indicated in this manual.
When the control unit is powered, check the following conditions on the front panel:
• green voltage present led on;
• yellow general fault LED flashing;
• continuous buzzer sound.
Pressing the "BUZZER SILENCE" key turns the buzzer off.
Display any fault indications and eliminate possible causes.
Pressing the "RESET" button afterwards will prompt the display to enter the level 2 password.
Enter the password and press "ENTER" to confirm and verify the following conditions:
• green voltage present led on;
• yellow led general fault off;
• no fault signal present on the display.
