Assembly Instructions
Included Items
Allen wrench, at wrench, folding hinge bolt, locking washer, nut
(see Figure 1).
Steering Column Assembly
Carefully remove from the shipping box; remove all packing materials and locate the
tools and hardware pictured (see Figure 1). The upper steering post will be separated
from the unit for transport and will need to be attached to the frame before using the
TKW. Use the included tools and parts to complete this step.
1 Push the lever to the right so that the pin is ush with the side of the lower
steering post (see Figure 2).
2 Place the upper steering post onto the lower steering post and slide the lever
to the left so that the pin engages into the hole on the steering posts (see
Figure 3).
3 While holding the upper steering post with one hand, insert the folding hinge
bolt into the hole located on the rear of the steering post until the threads are
exposed on the opposite side (see Figure 4).
4 Place the locking washer and the nut onto the screw and hand tighten (see
Figure 5).
5 Use the Allen and at wrench to tighten the screw. Test the steering post to
make sure it can fold down with a small amount of resistance and holds the
steering post rm when in the engaged position. Adjust the tightness of the
screw, if necessary.
6 Swing the lever upward and push the lever arm down to secure the steering
post to the frame (see Figure 6).
