MiniConnect MR quick-release unit. Whilst

you should have no diculty in using your

MiniConnect MR, you may ﬁnd the following

explanations useful.

Product description

The MiniConnect MR is a very practical,

small and extremely light quick-release unit

for the popular, round MiniConnect coupling

pieces. It is the more compact version of the

MiniConnect MC quick-release unit, which

dispenses with automatic locking in favor of

lower weight and smaller dimensions.

The MiniConnect MR is a very practical, small, and extremely light quick-release unit designed for popular, round MiniConnect coupling pieces. It is a more compact version of the MiniConnect MC quick-release unit, foregoing automatic locking for reduced weight and smaller dimensions.

Usage Features:

Mounting on Tripod or Ball Head:

To mount the quick-release unit on your tripod or ball head, use the threaded hole on the bottom (5). This hole includes a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter that can be unscrewed with a coin if needed. For anti-twist protection between the quick-release unit and the tripod head, remove the foam (transport lock) to reveal a smaller hole next to the 3/8" threaded hole. The included Allen key can then be used with the headless screw (4).

Handling:

Attaching the Coupling Piece to the Camera: Screw the coupling piece (1) firmly into the tripod thread of your camera. A slot on the back of the coupling piece facilitates this, allowing for the use of a screwdriver or a coin.
Inserting the Camera: Move the quick clamping lever (3) of the quick-release unit counter to the "lock" direction and hold it in this position. Insert the camera with the coupling piece into the opening of the quick-release unit. Release the clamping lever and push it in the "Lock" direction. This action presses the bottom of the camera against the rubber base plate (2). The more you press the clamping lever in the "Lock" direction, the tighter the clamping will be.
Disconnecting the Camera: To disconnect the camera from the quick-release unit, hold the camera with one hand and move the clamping lever (3) against the "Lock" direction with the other hand. Then, remove the camera from the quick-release unit.

Safety Instructions:

The MiniConnect MR is designed for use with standard photographic equipment. When a fixed camera/lens assembly is in place, the clamping lever must not be touched to prevent accidental opening, ensuring the equipment remains safe. Special care should be taken when carrying the tripod with the MC-MR quick release, as the clamping lever might loosen if it comes into contact with other objects.

Possible Combinations:

The MiniConnect MR quick-release unit can be mounted on almost any tripod or tripod head. Its small dimensions and low weight make it particularly suitable for combination with small and medium tripods or tripod heads.
