Volume Knob (right knob) – Turn the Volume Knob clockwise to increase the volume. There are four
sequential LEDs that indicate the relative volume level.
Mute – Push the Volume Knob in for 1 second to mute the P-8S. Push either knob or rotate the Volume
Knob to take the P-8S out of Mute and resume normal volume control.
Memory Retention – After the P-8S is initially powered up, always use the Input Selection Knob or
remote control to turn the P-8S off – so that the last selected input and volume setting are retained in
memory.
Rear Panel Controls:
Inputs 1-4 – Line-level inputs for use with various source components like a CD player.
Factory option: Input 3 can be custom ordered from factory with volume fixed at 0db for Home Theater
or PC pass-through. WARNING! –The source component must have its own volume control otherwise a
potentially harmful full-volume condition will result.
Pre Out, RCA – Volume-controlled line-level outputs.
Balanced Outputs – Balanced XLR output connectors for use with amplifiers having Balanced inputs –
can be used simultaneously with the RCA Pre Outs for bi-amp applications.
Trigger – 12V DC trigger output.
Remote Control:
Installing Batteries in Nuforce P-8S Remote Control
Batteries are not pre-installed with the P-8S because of tighten air-cargo security measures. To install
batteries, remove the only Philips head screw (2
nd
screw from the left as shown below) on the P-8S remote
control and slide out the base plate. Please use a #3 Philips head screwdriver to prevent stripping the
screw.
