INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
5˝ Inside Speaker
MODEL: ISA-445 Series
For use with the IMA4406, IM4406, IMA4006 & IM4006 Series Radio/Intercom Systems
ROUGH-IN FRAME MOUNTING
The ISA-445 5˝ speaker is mounted to the IR-50 rough-in
frame or surface mounted with IA-60.
NEW CONSTRUCTION
The IR-50 frame is mounted to a wall stud during
rough-in construction. The IW-6 wiring is also run during
rough-in construction. The speaker is mounted to the frame
once the finished wall is in place. See IR-50 Installation
Instructions.
EXISTING CONSTRUCTION
The IR-50 frame requires a cutout in the finished wall.
The frame may be mounted either directly to a wall stud or
between wall studs. The wiring is installed through the existing
walls. See IR-50 Installation Instructions.
WIRING CONNECTIONS
Refer to Figure 1. As illustrated, connect wires from the
master unit to the six (6) screw terminals. Red wire to the
terminal marked red, red/white to the terminal marked
re/white, etc.
MOUNTING
1. Refer to Figure 2. Carefully place wires inside wall.
2. Using two mounting holes in the speaker body, secure the
speaker to the frame with two (2) provided screws.
Refer to System’s Operator’s Manual for operating
instructions and warranty information. If Operator’s
Manual has been misplaced, write to: NuTone, 4820 Red
Bank Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227. Attention: Department
of National Field Service.
