  If the UVC lamp indicator on your Oase Water Filtration System is not on, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the Filtoclear UVC's mains plug is securely connected. If it is, the UVC lamp itself might be defective and require replacement. Check for any faulty connections in the electrical setup. If the lamp has been in use for approximately 8,000 hours, it's likely time for a replacement, as the lamp may have no UVC output. Also, ensure the protective tube is correctly fitted. Finally, the Filtoclear UVC might be overheating; in this case, it will switch on automatically after cooling down.

  If the water in your pond is not getting clear with your Oase Water Filtration System, there are several potential reasons. It may be that the unit hasn't been used for very long; full biological cleaning effectiveness is typically achieved after a few weeks. Alternatively, the pump capacity might be inappropriate, requiring a reset. Excessively dirty water, potentially due to algae and leaves, could also be the cause; remove these and consider a water change. An oversized fish and animal population can also affect water clarity; a guideline is approximately 2 feet of fish length for every 265 gallons of pond water. Dirty filter sponges or a dirty quartz tube can also impede water clarity; clean the filter sponges, or remove the Filtoclear UVC and clean the quartz tube.
