Generator Processing
The generator performs a number of processing activities under program control. The following paragraphs discuss these
processes.
Filament Control
There are two filaments in the X-ray tube, the “large” filament and the “small” filament. System software ensures that only one
filament is on at a time. It also determines which filament is selected, preheats it, and determines the duty cycle.
