Infrared Remote
The optional infrared (IR) remote system consists of a battery-operated, hand-held IR transmitter, and an IR receiver
that mounts between the two Workstation monitors behind the bezel. You can use the hand-held transmitter up to 20
feet from the Workstation to access most system functions. When you press a button on the hand-held IR transmitter,
the transmitter generates a pulsed waveform and converts it to invisible infrared light, much like a standard television
remote control. The IR receiver assembly in the Workstation detects the IR beam from the transmitter, converts the
pulsed infrared light back to an electronic signal, and passes the signal to the Control Panel Processor for decoding
and processing.
The ambient light sensor is part of the high-resolution Display Subsystem. It senses room lighting conditions,
enabling the display subsystem to maintain proper monitor brightness.
