PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
> > Replacing and installing the foot
Operate with the appliance turned o, disconnected electrically
and without batteries.
Pay attention to your ngers during this operation.
Danger of injury!
Removing the foot (13):
1. Turn the handwheel (6) counterclockwise to raise the needle (10) to the highest po-
sition (Fig. F7).
2. Press the foot lifting lever (8) upwards and then the support lever (30); then remove
the foot (13) (Fig. F4).
Fitting the foot (13):
1. Position the foot (13) under the support (16), taking care that the axis of the foot
corresponds to the groove on the support (Fig. F5).
2. Press and hold the lever of the support (30), then push the foot lifting lever (8) down-
wards; the axis of the foot (13) is automatically installed on the support (Fig. F6).
> > Replacement and installation of the needle
Operate with the appliance turned off, disconnected
electrically and without batteries.
Use only needles supplied or of a suitable type.
Other needles can bend or break and cause injury!
Never sew with a bent needle. A bent needle will break easily
and cause injury!
Exhausted batteries must be disposed in
the appropriate containers prepared for the
collection.
Do not throw batteries in household waste and
do not disperse them in the environment. Do
not dispose batteries in an incinerator, as they
could explode.
