Why is my OilGear Water Pump making excessive noise?
    • R
      robert40Aug 9, 2025
Excessive noise in your OilGear Water Pump can stem from several causes. It may be due to the pump starting or stopping incorrectly under load, so verify the pump's operation procedure. Check for a low fluid level in the reservoir or insufficient supercharge, which can cause cavitation. Also, inspect the system for air leaks. Ensure the fluid isn't too cold or its viscosity too high, and inspect the suction line for obstructions, proper length, diameter, and bends. A broken or worn piston/shoe assembly or the pump rotating in the wrong direction can also cause excessive noise. Inspect these components and the pump's operational direction.

What to do if my OilGear F1U is excessively heating?
    • C
      Carol BrownAug 14, 2025
If your OilGear Water Pump is excessively heating, several factors could be responsible. Start by verifying the pump's limitations to ensure it's not operating above its rated or peak pressure. Check the fluid level in the reservoir and the supercharge to rule out issues there. Inspect the hydraulic system for air leaks. Also, the heating could be caused by a worn piston pump. Finally, inspect for obstructions in the cooling provision or clogged coolers.

How to fix insufficient pump volume in my OilGear Water Pump?
    • D
      Derrick ArnoldAug 19, 2025
Insufficient pump volume in your OilGear Water Pump can be caused by several factors. The delivery may be limited by a faulty control. Inspect the suction circuit for obstructions and verify supercharge volume. Ensure the drive motor speed is sufficient. Finally, inspect the cylinder barrel and valve plate mating surfaces for wear or grooves; replace if necessary.

What to do if my OilGear F1U Water Pump has an irregular operation?
    • T
      Timothy EverettAug 25, 2025
If your OilGear Water Pump is operating irregularly, several issues could be the cause. A faulty control could be the problem, so inspect and replace components as needed. Low fluid level in the reservoir or insufficient supercharge can also lead to irregular operation, so verify these. Check the hydraulic system for air entering it, inspect for leaks, and inspect the pump components for wear. Also, faulty output circuit components can cause this issue, so inspect and replace them as needed.

How to troubleshoot unresponsive control in OilGear F1U Water Pump?
    • D
      David CunninghamAug 29, 2025
An unresponsive or sluggish control in your OilGear Water Pump can be due to a couple of reasons. If you have “R” and “V” volume type controls, there might be low control input (pilot) pressure. Also, worn or damaged swashblock saddle bearings could be the issue; inspect and replace them if necessary.

What causes excessive pressure in OilGear Water Pump?
    • P
      Patrick WhitakerSep 3, 2025
Excessive or high peak pressure in your OilGear Water Pump can be caused by faulty output circuit components. Check the relief valves.
