Use this connector when connecting the printer
to a computer with a USB cable.

Note

The printer does not come with a USB cable. You need
to prepare a USB 2.0 cable that is no longer than two
meters.
z
If you are planning to connect using the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed
mode, you need to prepare a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 cable.
z
USB 3.0 is not supported.
To Connect a USB Cable

Taking care to orient the connector
correctly, connect the square end of the
USB cable to the printer (

Do not plug the USB cable into the printer's LAN (network)
interface connector. Doing so can cause malfunction of the
printer.

Do not plug or unplug the USB cable while the computer
or printer is turned on. Doing so can cause malfunction of
the printer.

Use the operation panel to configure the printer's USB
transfer rate setting in accordance with the transfer rate
(speed) of the USB port of the computer.
