When to replace the batteries
Replace the batteries when the error
message shown below appears.
• Slide the battery compartment lock from <S to e
and ensure that the battery compartment cover is
securely locked
(0). Failure to do so may cause
the battery compartment cover to open during
shooting and the batteries
to fall out, resulting in
loss of image data.

see "Battery handling precautions"
(p. 71).
If using rechargeable batteries, charge the
batteries.
(/) Turn off the camera before opening or
closing the battery compartment cover.
