Position your subject in the
autofocus frame and press the shutter
release button halfway. The "AF"
indicator (green) will light up in the
viewfinder and the focus will be
locked.
*When focus is locked, exposure
settings are also locked (AE lock).
Recompose your picture while
keeping the shutter release button
pressed halfway.
*If you remove your finger from the
shutter release button, the "AF"
indicator (green) will disappear and
the focus lock will be canceled.
Press the shutter release button
fully to take the picture.
