AUTO-S flash

AUTO-S flash significantly
reduces "red-eye"
phenomenon (when a
subject's eyes appear red) in
flash portraits and group
photos. Red-eye phenomenon
is most likely to occur in very
low light, and at longer focal
lengths (telephoto).
Press the FLASH button to set the
mode to AUTO-S.
Compose your shot and press the
shutter release button. The flash will
emit a rapid series of low power pre-
flashes, followed directly by the main
flash.
*Hold the camera firmly while
pressing the shutter release button.
*AUTO-S mode will not be canceled
when power is switched OFF.
To cancel AUTO-S mode, press the
FLASH button.
