This document serves as the Technical Manual for the IEWH/ICHH Series High Wall Inverter air conditioner, operating at 220-240V/1/50Hz. It provides comprehensive information regarding the device's functions, usage, and maintenance, emphasizing safety precautions throughout.
Function Description
The IEWH/ICHH Series High Wall Inverter is a split-type air conditioning unit designed to provide comfortable airflow and prolong its service life through various protective functions. It operates in multiple modes including cooling, heating, dry, and fan-only, with an inverter technology for efficient performance.
Key protective functions include:
- Delay-starting protection for the compressor: To maintain pressure balance in the cooling system, the compressor restarts at least 3 minutes (5 minutes in heating mode) after being turned off. There's an initial 1-minute delay for the compressor to start after the unit is first electrified.
- Freeze-prevention: During cooling and dehumidification operations, the compressor or outdoor fan may stop, and the indoor fan speed will automatically increase to prevent the indoor heat exchanger from freezing.
- Dry for enzyme-prevention (optional): In cooling mode, the indoor fan motor continues to run at a low speed for 3 minutes after the unit is turned off to maintain a dry internal condition, preventing enzyme growth.
- Reset power or Auto restart (alternative):
- Reset power: In the event of a power suspension, the air conditioner automatically switches off. When power is restored, the unit automatically resets. For energy saving, if no one is in the room, the air conditioner enters PAUSE status, requiring the user to turn it on via the remote controller.
- Auto restart: The unit stores the last operating mode, airflow settings, and temperature settings. If a power failure occurs during operation, the unit will automatically resume the same operating conditions once power is restored.
- Cooling overload working (optional): If the outdoor heat exchanger temperature becomes too high during cooling operation, the indoor fan speed automatically adjusts to a lower gear, and the compressor may stop.
- Drip proof (optional): During cooling and dehumidification, the louver blades automatically adjust their position to prevent water dripping.
Usage Features
The air conditioner is controlled via a remote controller, which offers a range of settings and display options.
- Display Screen: Shows current settings such as temperature, operating mode (AUTO, HEAT, COOL, DRY, SWEEP), fan speed (Auto, High, Medium, Low), and various indicators (RUN, TIMER, Compressor, Temperature). Flashing indicators signify abnormal operation, requiring contact with the distributor.
- Buttons on Remote Controller:
- On/Off Button: To start or stop the air conditioner.
- Temp Adjustment Buttons (▲/▼): To increase or decrease the set temperature.
- Mode Selection Button: To select the desired operating mode.
- Fan Speed Button: To adjust the indoor fan speed.
- Airflow Sweep Buttons (Horizontal and Vertical): To change the position of the horizontal and vertical blades or activate swing mode (optional for horizontal).
- TURBO Button: To quickly cool or warm the room in HEAT or COOLING mode. Pressing it again exits the power function.
- HEALTH Button (optional): To start or stop the health function.
- DISPLAY Button: To toggle the display on/off when the air conditioner is running.
- Timer Selection Button: To set the timer for turning the unit on or off.
- Sleep Button: To activate sleep mode for low-noise operation.
- Quiet Button: To set the air conditioner to operate in low noise.
- CLEAN Button: To turn on the self-cleaning function.
- LOCK Button: To set or cancel the self-locking function of the remote controller.
- Reset Button: To delete all settings and reset the remote control.
Maintenance Features
Proper maintenance is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of the air conditioner.
- General Safety Precautions:
- Always read instructions carefully.
- Use the air conditioner as specified in the guide.
- Ensure proper electrical installation, especially grounding, to prevent fire, electric shock, injury, or water leakage.
- Do not use extension cords, adapters, or power strips.
- Ensure the power plug has a ground wire and the socket is easily accessible.
- Packaging materials are recyclable; dispose of the unit at a recycling center when condemned.

- Installation Safety:
- Installation must be performed by a dealer or authorized technician.
- Securely fasten the outdoor unit base.
- Check for refrigerant leakage after moving the unit.
- Protect the wall unit with an appropriate fuse or overvoltage protection device.
- Incorporate a device for disconnecting power supply in fixed wiring, with at least 3mm contact separation between poles.
- Install according to regional and national wiring regulations.
- Ensure the main voltage matches the identification plate.
- Do not install near flammable substances or pressurized containers.
- Avoid installing in excessively humid places like bathrooms.
- Disconnect power before accessing connection terminals.
- Perform an operation test after installation and save data.
- Usage Safety:
- Never touch buttons with wet hands or insert objects into air inlet/outlet grilles.
- Do not clean the inside of the air conditioner yourself; contact a dealer.
- Do not place heavy objects on the power cable or pull it.
- Use only the specified refrigerant.
- Do not bend, pull, or crush the power cord.
- Do not obstruct airflow of indoor or outdoor units.
- Do not alter device characteristics.
- Do not install near heat sources or environments containing gasoline, oil, or sulfur.
- Do not climb or place heavy/hot objects on the unit.
- Do not leave doors/windows open for extended periods during operation.
- Do not direct airflow onto plants or animals.
- Avoid prolonged direct exposure to cold/hot air.
- Do not allow water contact with the air conditioner.
