How to troubleshoot no heat, no cool, and no fan on my One Hour Thermostat?
    • J
      Jennifer MoodyAug 4, 2025
If your One Hour Thermostat isn't producing heat, cool air, or running the fan, here's what to check: * **Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker:** Replace the fuse or reset the breaker. * **Furnace power switch:** Ensure the furnace power switch is turned to the ON position. * **Furnace blower compartment door:** Make sure the door panel is correctly positioned to engage the safety interlock or door switch. * **Loose connections:** Tighten any loose connections found on the thermostat or within the system.

What to do if the 'Call for Service' icon appears on my One Hour Thermostat?
    • C
      Carol CarrollAug 7, 2025
If the “Call for Service” icon appears on your One Hour Thermostat, it could indicate several issues: 1. The heating system cannot heat the space to within 10 degrees of the setpoint within 2 hours. See corrective action for “No Heat”. 2. The cooling system cannot cool the space to within 10 degrees of the setpoint within 2 hours. See corrective action for “No Cool”. 3. If “--” is displayed for the Room Temperature, a replacement thermostat is needed. 4. None of the buttons operate on the thermostat. Make sure keypad lockout is not turned on, If it’s OFF, try reset. 5. If “Call for Service” is flashing, compressor self diagnostic is detecting an issue with the outdoor unit. Contact a service person to verify the outdoor equipment is operating correctly.

Why is my One Hour Comfort Sentry OH-522 not producing heat?
    • L
      Laura BlackAug 11, 2025
If your One Hour Thermostat is not producing heat, consider the following: 1. **System setting:** Ensure the thermostat is set to 'Heat'. 2. **Loose connections:** Check that all wires are securely attached to both the thermostat and the system. 3. **Diagnostic procedure:** Set the system to 'Heat' and raise the setpoint above the current room temperature. Within five minutes, a soft click sound should be heard, and 'Heat On' should appear on the display. If the thermostat clicks, contact the furnace manufacturer or a service person to verify the heating system is operating correctly. If the thermostat does not click, try the reset operation. If the thermostat does not click after being reset, contact your heating and cooling service person or place of purchase for a replacement.

What to do if my One Hour Thermostat is not cooling?
    • J
      Joseph ShannonAug 15, 2025
If your One Hour Thermostat is not cooling, here are a few things to check: 1. **System setting:** Make sure the thermostat is set to 'Cool'. 2. **Loose connections:** Verify that all wires are securely attached to the thermostat and the system. 3. **Diagnostic procedure:** Set the system to 'Cool' and lower the setpoint below the room temperature. Follow the same diagnostic procedures as for a 'No Heat' condition. Note that there may be up to a five-minute delay before the thermostat clicks if the compressor lock-out option is selected in the installer menu.

Why does the heat, cool, or fan run constantly on my One Hour Comfort Sentry OH-522?
    • A
      adamchandlerAug 20, 2025
If the heat, cool, or fan on your One Hour Thermostat runs constantly, it could be due to a short in the wiring, the thermostat itself, or the heating, cooling, or fan system. Check each wire connection to ensure they are not shorted or touching other wires. Try resetting the thermostat. If the problem continues, contact your HVAC service person.

    Tina CarrilloAug 25, 2025
Why does my One Hour Comfort Sentry OH-522 Thermostat cycle the furnace or AC too fast or slow?
    • M
      Mark BarnesAug 25, 2025
If your One Hour Thermostat causes the furnace or air conditioner to cycle too quickly or slowly, it might be influenced by the thermostat's location or the heating system's size. Digital thermostats offer precise control and cycle faster than older mechanical models, turning on and off more frequently but running for shorter durations. To increase cycle time, select 'SLO' for slow cycle in the Installer menu.

    • J
      Joseph HoldenAug 29, 2025
