Quick Start Guide
Ceramic Fan Heater
1. Place heater on a flat surface ensuring there
is at least 30cm clearance all around and
over the top of the heater. Do Not place
items on or against the heater.
2. Insert Plug into Power Point and switch on.
3. Turn the Thermostat control down
(anticlockwise) until you hear it click off.
4. Rotate the Heat Selector switch to position:
for Fan Only
“I” for Low Heat
“II” for High Heat
“O” for OFF
5. With the Heat Selector Switch set to either “I”
or “II”, turn the Thermostat control up slowly
(clockwise) until you hear it click On. The
heater will now start to heat. Adjust up or
down to your desired temperature setting.
Note: As the
thermostat
maintains room
temperature it
will switch on
and off.
As it switches
on and off, you may notice a blue flash from
inside the heater. This is NOT dangerous and
is no cause for alarm.
6. Do not operate while unattended.
Turn the selector switch to position “O” (off)
then Turn power off and Unplug.
Always Unplug when not in use.

How to troubleshoot no power to my Onix Heater?
    • T
      Timothy LindseyAug 2, 2025
If your Onix Heater isn't getting power, first ensure the power plug is correctly inserted into the power outlet and switched on. If that doesn't work, check if the outlet itself has power by testing it with another appliance, like a table lamp.

What to do if my Onix FH102A-S has power but isn't heating up?
    • B
      Beth ThompsonAug 8, 2025
If your Onix Heater has power but isn't heating, there might be several reasons: * Ensure the heater is on a hard, flat, horizontal surface to allow the Tip Over Switch to reset. * Turn the Fan / On-Off / Heat Control Switch to the heating position “I” or “II.” * Turn the thermostat to a higher temperature setting (rotate clockwise). Also, the heater may have overheated internally and tripped the safety over-temperature device.

Why does my Onix FH102A-S Heater have a burning smell when I first turn it on?
    • H
      hubbardbenjaminAug 14, 2025
A burning smell when you first turn on your Onix Heater is normal, especially for the first use or after it has been stored for a while. This is due to fine dust burning off the element. Allow the appliance to heat up, and the smell should disappear over a short period.

Why is my Onix FH102A-S Heater fan blowing cold air instead of heat?
    • D
      Douglas GilmoreAug 20, 2025
If your Onix Heater's fan is blowing cold air, make sure the Fan / On-Off / Heat Control Switch is switched to one of the heating positions, either “I” or “II.”

The occasional blue flashes you see inside your Onix Heater are normal. It's just the thermostat switching on and off to maintain the room temperature. This is not dangerous and is no cause for alarm, as it's typical for this type of thermostat.
