FM
Antenna
Connections

The
T-shaped
antenna
is
included
in
the
installation
instructions
bag.
Use
the
T-shaped
antenna
if
you
live
in
an
area
where
the
signal
strength
of
FM
broadcasts
is
high.
Connect
the
antenna
to
the
300-ohm
terminal
of
the
accessory
antenna
adapter,
and
insert
the
antenna
adapter
into
the
FM
75-ohm
F-type
jack
of
the
main
unit.
Place
the
antenna
on
a
wall
or
other
surface
in
the
position
in
which
reception
is
best.
If
signal
strength
is
low
in
your
area,
use
a
multi-
element
FM
outdoor
antenna
and
connect
to
this
unit
using
a
75-ohm
coaxial
cable,
because
this
type
of
cable
is
more
resistant
to
interference
than
a300-ohm
cable.
If
the
coaxial
cable
has
an
F-type
plug,
insert
it
into
the
FM
75-ohm
F-type
jack
of
the
main
unit.
If
there
is
no
F-type
plug,
connect
the
antenna
adapter
as
shown
in
the
illustration
(below).
Use
the
B
(CABLE)
antenna
terminal
for
connecting
CATV
(cable
TV)
FM
broadcasts
or
another
FM
antenna.

fingernail
or
a
small
screwdriver,
press
the
stopper
inwards
and
remove
the
cover.

adapter
to
the
coaxial
cable.

Antenna
Connections
An
AM
loop
antenna
is
included
in
the
installation
instructions
bag.
Take
out
the
connection
line
and
connect
it
to
the
AM
antenna
terminals.
This
loop
antenna
can
be
placed
on
top
of
any
stable
surface
or
attached
to
a
wall.
Try
several!
positions
to
determine
which
gives
the
best
reception.
Be
sure
the
antenna
is
not
near
a
speaker,
power
cord,
television
set,
VCR,
or
motorized
appliances.
When
using
an
external
AM
antenna,
do
not
remove
the
loop
an-
tenna;
connect
both
antennas
to
the
AM
antenna
terminals.
