Instruction for use Pads
Single patient use only: The pads are to be used for one patient only and may neither
be used for several patients nor refurbished.
Using them for more than one patient or refurbishing them can cause spreading infection
chains and wound infections. The function of the pads could be reduced and limit the
therapeutic eect.
CAUTION: Once the treatment phase is complete, used pads should be disposed
in household waste. Do not send any used pads when returning the controller. Tubes
should be included by the controller.
Foot Pad

Place foot as shown by graphic in the pad. Note Left and Right side. The ination chamber
must be directly under the arch of the foot.

Wrap the inside of the sleeve over the top of
the foot. Cross the sides of the pad around the bridge of the foot as well and tighten them.
Secure with the Velcro strap. The connecting tube must be on the inside of the foot.

Guide the heel strap around the heel and secure with the Velcro strap at the outside front.
Wrap the Velcro strap around the sole of the foot.

Calf Pad

Place your leg in the pad as displayed in the diagram. Note Left and Right side. Please
ensure the pad is against the calf muscle and the air hose is central to the calf. (

Wrap one side of the cover over the other. Ensure the pad has a snug t around the calf.
Secure with the velcro closure.

Hand Pad

Open the Pad and place the hand on top of the inner side of the Pad, with the thumb located
into the cut out provided (see graphic on the Pad bladder). Note Left and Right side.

Wrap
the end of the cover across the back of the hand, tting snugly and secure with the velcro
closure.

Wrap the wrist strap around the base of the thumb and secure with the Velcro
strap.

Undercast Pad

If required, wrap the foot with undercast padding. Place foot and pad as shown by graphics.
Note the side Left and Right.

Tighten around the foot and secure the pad with the tab. In-
let tube must be on the inside of the foot.

Secure pad in place. Apply VACOped/VACOped
Diabetic liner and then apply the VACOped/VACOped Diabetic
Indications
Device for improvement of the venous return and arterial ow with intermittent, pneumatic
impulse compression on the upper and lower extremity. It is equally suitable for specialist
sta in hospitals, with the patient or his relatives using the system themselves.
Note: Using this device requires the recommendations of the attending doctor
regarding the indication and recommended application time

For fast drainage of acute edema of the upper
and lower extremities (e.g. posttraumatic and
postoperative)
post traumatic: continuous
postoperative: 6 to 8 hours daily
(with breaks if required)
For prophylaxis of compartment syndrome in
case of serious soft tissue damage

Prevention of deep vein thrombosis Application time between 4 and 15 hours Daily
For fast drainage of chronic vascular edema
of the legs and the arms (e.g. CVI, supporting
therapy of chronic lymphedema)
Ulcera cruris caused by dierent origin
(venous, arterial, mixed)
Diabetic foot syndrome (also with ulceration)
Peripheral artery occlusive disease (PAOD) and
arterial circulatory disorders of the extremities
(also for non-revascularisable situations)
At least 4 hours per day over several weeks
with breaks if required
