MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
REMOTE STARTERS: Fortin Electronics Systems, hereinafter «the Manufacturer» warrants that the remote start mo-
dule (control box), hereinafter « theModule» will be free from defects in thedesign or manufacture.
The warranty is for the exclusive bene t of the original consumer who purchases a Module from an authorized dealer
and who installs the Module on a vehicle in his possession.
The warranty is for a maximum period of time during whichthe vehicle, where the Module was installed for the rst
time, remains in the possession of the original consumer.
In case of breakage due to faulty design or manufacture, the Manufacturer agrees:
1) during the rst year following the date of manufacture, to replace the module with a new module with
similar or superior features at no cost;
2) during the second and third year following the date of manufacture, to replace the module with a module
repaired or refurbished at no cost;
3) During the third year following year, to replace to replace the module with a module repaired or refur-
bished, for a fee of THIRTY-FIVE ($ 35.00 CDN) dollars plus applicable taxes.
ACCESSORIES: The manufacturer issuing the warrants that any accessory of Fortin brand will be free from defects
in design or manufacture.
The guarantee is for a maximum of ONE (1) year from the date of purchase from an authorized dealer.
CLAIM: The customer must return the product to the dealer and provide a copy of proof of purchase and, if applicable,
a check in the amount of THIRTY-FIVE ($ 35.00 CDN) dollars plus applicable taxes.
A replacement product will be returned to the retailer and the consumer may claim it within FOUR (4) weeks of receipt
by the retailer of the replacement product.
Any replacement module (new, repaired or refurbished) will have a new date of manufacture.
THE WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY IF:
1) The product has been damaged, altered or modi ed in any way without the written authorisation of an
Fortin technician, including opening or removing the plastic cover of the module or the modi cation or
withdrawal of bar code on the module.
2) The product has been installed or repaired by anyone other than a certi ed technician.
3) The product is installed or used improperly.
The parties hereto agree that this document will be governed by and construed under the laws of Quebec. If the buyer
is located in a province other than Quebec, any questions about the quality guarantee shall be governed and inter-
preted under the laws of Ontario. If the buyer is located outside of Canada, any questions about the quality guarantee
shall be governed and construed in accordance with the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International
Sale of Goods («Vienna Convention»).
