Attach tripod legs to the equatorial mount using provided screws and washers.
Tighten leg lock knobs at the base of tripod legs. Keep legs retracted initially.
Stand the tripod upright and spread the legs attached to the equatorial mount.
Adjust the mount's tilt to match your observing site's latitude.
Ensure the optical tube is parallel to the R.A. axis and set Dec. setting circle to 90°.
Rotate the mount to point roughly towards Polaris or North for basic alignment.
