Release the LAYER button.
The first number indicated the volume of the main sound (Piano) and the second number indicate the volume of the
Layer sound (Strings).
It is also possible to mix the VARIATION sounds in the same way (as we will see shortly).
LIBRARY
The LIBRARY button allows to access all the General Midi sounds (GM), the 10 available Drum Kits and
to the FX Sound Bank.
We will soon discover how to use the LIBRARY sounds together with the VARIATION sounds.
VARIATION
The VARIATION button allows to select a second sound (Variation) and for each sound button and store
it in the internal memory.
The default sounds on panel are as follows:
NOTA: The VARIATION sounds can be customized as desired according to the GM sound library of the instrument.
This will make sure that the most used or useful sounds can be always available on the control panel sound buttons.
Here how to change the default VARIATION sound on the PIANO button:
- Press the LIBRARY button and with the DATA CONTROL scroll on the display all the sounds until the
desired sound, for example DULCIMER.
- Press and hold now the PIANO to confirm the selection.
- The VARIATION button is now to confirm the selection of the new sound.
Here how to select LAYER sound:
- Press and hold the PIANO button as main sound (the VARIATION button is Off)
- Press the LAYER button (it starts blinking).
- While the LAYER button is blinking, with the DATA CONTROL scroll on the display all the sounds until the
desired sound, for example DULCIMER.
- Now the two sounds, Piano and Dulcimer, are playing together.
PIANO SOUND RESTORE
Sometime, while using the instrument, it is possible that a strange combination of sounds is
selected or that the instrument is set in an unpleasant way.
In this situation is possible to restore the instrument and return to the configuration that the piano
has at Power Up.
Press the two buttons below the Grand Piano image in the silk-screening, at the same time and
the instrument automatically restart with Piano sound in the full keyboard.
