This symbol means WARNING or DANGER – personnel safety instruction!
This machine is designed for ONE MAN OPERATION.
Only the operator is allowed in the working area of the machine.
Only trained and qualied personal may use the machine.
The machine may not be operated when its safety features (e.g. switches
and covers) have been rendered inoperative, damaged or removed.
Lost or damaged parts must be replaced with original spare parts.
The gas container at the rear of the machine must not be subjected to
abnormal heat e.g. from welding etc.
The machine has a high centre of gravity. If the machine needs to be
moved, the press plate must rst be fully lowered.
Installation, repair and servicing must only be performed by qualied and
competent personnel, and in accordance with the installation and servicing
instructions.
The machine must not be used by minors.
Never climb on the machine.
Place both hands on the handle when moving the press unit.
During cleaning, maintenance, servicing, and when removing material that
has become trapped, the main power switch should always be turned to
zero and locked in this position with a padlock to prevent unauthorised or
accidental starting of the machine.
SAFETY FEATURES
The machine is equipped with the following safety features:
A main switch that can be secured with a padlock to prevent unauthorised use, or
when servicing, cleaning or maintaining the machine, or removing material that has
become trapped.
An emergency stop that interrupts the control voltage. When this is reset, the
machine will not start again until a new start signal is given via the start button. The
machine’s press plate will then only return to its starting position.
Mechanical and electrical override switches that monitor dangerous machine
movements, e.g. when the machine’s covers are opened, or when the press unit is
moved sideways between the chambers.
The chamber door cannot be opened during compaction (protection against
dangerous machine movements). The ability to open the door is blocked by the
apron.
Front and rear covers that protect against dangerous machine movements at the
rear of the chambers.
Fuse protection for the machine’s operating and control voltage.
Motor protection that prevents the motor from becoming overloaded.
Zero voltage tripping that prevents the machine from restarting after a power
failure.
Errors and omissions excepted.
