(120ml), or a pre-drinking glass (60ml).
ii. Currently smoking
Check the box ifyou are currently smoking.
iii. Previous fracture
To be accurate, a previous fracture refers to a fracture resulting from a
mild trauma that cannot cause a fracture for a healthy person, or to a
fracture that occurs after adulthood.
iv. Parent Hip Fracture
Check the boxif there is a history of mother’s or father's hip fracture.
v. Steroid agent
Check the box if you had taken or are now taking oral glucocorticoids or
prednisolone 5 mg or more per day (or other glucocorticoids of
equivalent volume) for 3 months or more.
vi. Rheumatoid arthritis
Check the box if you have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
vii. Secondary osteoporosis
Check the box if you have a disease that is strongly associated with
osteoporosis.
These include: Type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetes mellitus, adult
osteogenesis imperfecta, untreated long-term hyperthyroidism,
hypogonadism or premature menopause (before age 45), chronic
malnutrition or absorption disorders, chronic liver disease.
② You can select the Ethnicity of the patient to be measured. If you cannot find the Ethnicity of your
patient in the list of the reference, you should select the Ethnicity which is the most akin to your
patient’s Ethnicity from the list.
Before calculating the FRAX value, check that the questionnaire items are correct.
