Maintenance Features:
- General Cleaning:
- Clean all cooking surfaces, aluminum pots, and pans with warm, soapy water and a nylon cleaning pad to prevent oxidation, corrosion, and rusting.
- Keep the appliance area clear of combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors and liquids.
- All cleaning and maintenance should be performed when the appliance is cool and the fuel supply is turned off at the LP tank.
- Do not clean any part in a self-cleaning oven.
- Burner Cleaning:
- Regularly inspect and clean burner tubes and the frame (once or twice a month) to prevent blockages from spiders and insects, which can cause fires and damage.
- Use a flexible venturi brush or a hooked wire to remove obstructions from burner tubes.
- Clean the burner exterior with a wire brush to loosen corrosion.
- Clear clogged gas port holes with an opened paper clip.
- Replace corroded or damaged burners that emit excess gas.
- Frame/Stand Cleaning:
- Remove the LP tank and orifice/hose from the appliance.
- Inspect for nests, webs, or mud in the burner tube area.
- Remove debris with a soft nylon bristle brush.
- Wash the unit with a mild dish detergent and hot or warm water using a soft nylon bristle brush.
- Towel dry and reattach the LP tank and orifice/hose.
- Cooking Surface/Vessel Cleaning:
- Preheat the griddle to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Scrape off excess grease and debris with a non-scratch scraping tool/flat-head spatula while heated.
- Turn off the griddle and let it cool.
- Cover with warm-hot soapy water and gently scrub with a nylon cleaning pad. Let it sit for about half an hour to loosen grease.
- Gently wipe off soapy water and remaining grease.
- Rinse with a cloth and cold water, repeating as needed.
- Leak Testing:
- Regularly perform leak tests on the LP tank valve, hoses, and regulator connections.
- Use a soapy water solution (liquid dishwashing detergent and water) to check for bubbles, indicating leaks.
- If bubbles appear, close the LP tank valve, tighten connections, and retest. If leaks persist, do not use the appliance and contact customer service.
- Overfilled Protection Device (OPD) Check: If the burner does not light or stay lit, check if the OPD on the LP tank has tripped. Disconnect the regulator, wait one minute, and then reconnect, slowly opening the LP tank valve.
The product comes with a 90-day limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty is void if the product has been subject to misuse, abuse, or exposed to corrosive conditions. This limited warranty is for replacement or repair of any part(s) that is defective.
