hazardous substances in
electrical and electronic
equipment has harmful
effects on the environment
and health.
Households have a role to
play in the reuse, recycling
and other forms of recovery
of Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment (WEEE).
They have an obligation not
to put WEEE in with unsorted
domestic waste and to have
them selectively collected by
the recovery and collection
systems available to them.
