Overview

The Ozeri Precision II Digital Bathroom Scale with Weight Change Detection Technology, model ZB14, is an electronic instrument designed for personal use to measure body weight. It incorporates advanced features to provide reliable readings and assist users in tracking weight changes over time.

To ensure accurate measurements, the scale requires proper setup and usage. Before its first use, and after being moved or picked up, the scale will automatically calibrate. This calibration process is indicated by a weight reading followed by "C" on the screen. During this initial calibration, users should disregard the first weight reading, step off the scale, and allow it to turn off. This completes the calibration, preparing the scale for subsequent use. It is crucial to place the scale on an even, hard, flat surface, avoiding carpets or soft, uneven areas, as these can affect accuracy. The scale should also be dry before use, and users must ensure solid footing when stepping on it to prevent injury.

The Ozeri Precision II scale utilizes "StepOn" technology, meaning it activates automatically when a user steps onto it, without requiring any tapping. Once activated, the scale displays one or more weight readings as it calculates the final weight. The final weight calculation remains on the screen for a period before the scale automatically turns off after approximately 10 seconds of inactivity, conserving battery life.

A key feature of this scale is its Weight Change Detection Technology. When a user steps on the scale for a subsequent measurement, it first displays the current weight for 8 seconds. Following this, it shows the net weight change between the current weight and the previously recorded weight. This net weight change is displayed for 6 seconds, with a green color indicating weight loss and a red color indicating weight gain. If no significant weight change is detected, the screen will display "nocn." This visual feedback helps users easily monitor their progress and identify trends in their weight.

Maintaining the scale involves simple practices to ensure its longevity and accuracy. It should be cleaned with a lightly dampened cloth after use, and thoroughly dried. Solvents or immersing the product in water should be avoided, as moisture can damage the scale's sensors and electronics. The scale should be stored in a clean, dry location at room temperature, away from cleaning chemicals, which can affect its electronic components. Storing the scale on its side or with objects on it should also be avoided to prevent battery drainage and potential damage.

The scale is powered by 2 AAA batteries, which are included. When the low battery indicator "Lo" appears on the screen, the batteries should be replaced with new AAA alkaline batteries. To reset the scale and delete the weight stored in its memory, users can simply remove and reinsert the batteries.

Users should be aware that body weight can fluctuate due to various factors such as hydration, clothing, and other daily variations. The scale rounds to the nearest 50 grams, and slight variances are normal. For consistent tracking, it is recommended to average weight measurements over time. The maximum weight capacity of the scale is 440 lbs / 200 kgs / 31 st. If the display shows "Err," it indicates that the maximum weight has been exceeded, and objects should be removed from the scale immediately to prevent permanent damage.

The Ozeri Precision II scale is a finely tuned electronic instrument and should be treated with care. It is not designed to be dropped or jumped on, as misuse or abuse can render the electronic sensors inoperable. Other than replacing batteries, the product contains no user-serviceable parts and should not be disassembled. This scale is intended solely for home/consumer use and not for commercial or rental purposes.
