Prescan the entire filmstrip/roll film
1. Click the Prescan Strip button; the entire filmstrip/roll film is
prescanned. Thumbnails will appear across the top of the screen,
and the first image scanned will automatically appears in the image
area in the center of the screen.
2. Scroll the thumbnails (if more than 6 frames) by clicking the arrows
at either end of the thumbnails until the image you want to scan is
visible.
3. Click the thumbnail of the image you intend to scan; a red border
surrounds the thumbnail and the image appears in the preview
image window in the center of the screen.
4. To select multiple frames for scanning, hold the “Ctrl”key and click
on the thumbnails to select them for scanning.
B. Scan Selected Frames
1. Click the scan button to perform a scan to the selected frame or
frames. The result of this scan will be sent to Photoshop Elements.
As an alternate to the Scan button, you can click the Scan to File
button. The resulting image from this scan is saved directly as a
file, without the intermediate step of opening the image in a
Photoshop window.
