Security Measures
Setting the Password on boot (enabling, disabling)
1 Run the Setup Utility. (Î page 147)
2 Using either the Î key or the Í key, select [Security].
3 Using either the Ï key or the Ð key, select [Password on boot] and
press the
Enter
key.
4 Select [Enable] or [Disable].
z To enable the Password on boot:
Using the Ï
key or the Ð key, select [Enable] and press the
Enter
key
z To disable the Password on boot
Using the Ï
key and the Ð key, select [Disable] and press the
Enter
key
5 Press the
F10
key and select [Yes], then press the
Enter
key.
Starting Up When the Password on boot is Set
The screen shown at left is displayed.
Enter your password
*1
and press the
Enter
key.
z When the correct password is input, the computer will start
z After 3 wrong password attempts have been made or there is no input for one minute, the
computer will power off

Supervisor Password or User Password set in the Setup Utility (not the Windows password).
