Another potential cause is a poor ground lead connection; ensure it's securely connected to an unpainted part of the chassis. Alternator noise from the car can also be a culprit, in this case, try changing the wiring position of the ground lead. Finally, check your balance/fader settings and readjust them if they are not appropriate.

Why can't my Panasonic CQ-C1300U play CD-R/RWs that work on other devices?

  The CD-R/RWs that are playable on other devices are not playable on this Panasonic unit because the disc has unplayable formatted data. Refer to the description about MP3/WMA for playable sound data except CD-DA (i.e. music CD).
