Usage Features
The microwave oven offers a comprehensive set of features for various cooking needs:
- Control Panel: The control panels for all listed models share the same key layout, featuring a display window, number pads, and dedicated pads for specific functions.
- Clock Setting: Users can set the time of day, which is displayed in a 12-hour format. The clock retains the time as long as the oven is plugged in and electricity is supplied.
- Child Safety Lock: This feature prevents electronic operation of the oven until cancelled, providing an important safety measure. It does not lock the door.
- Manual Cooking:
- Power Level: The oven offers 11 power levels, from P10 (HIGH) to P1 (LOW), and a PO (KEEP WARM) setting. P10 is the highest power, and P1 is the lowest.
- Cooking Time: Users can set cooking times up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds using the number pads.
- Quick 30 (More): This pad allows users to set or add cooking time in 30-second increments, up to 5 minutes, at a preset P10 power level. It can also add more time during manual cooking.
- Stage Cooking: The oven supports up to three stages of cooking, allowing different power levels and times for each stage.
- Automatic Functions:
- Popcorn: This function allows popping popcorn in three sizes: 3.5 oz. (99 g), 2.75 oz. (78 g), or 1.5 oz. (42 g). Users are advised to follow popcorn manufacturers' directions and never leave the oven unattended while popping.
- Turbo Defrost: This feature defrosts foods like meat, poultry, and seafood by weight (up to 6 lbs./3 kg). The manual provides a conversion chart for ounces/hundredths of a pound to tenths of a pound.
- Sensor Reheat: This function automatically reheats casseroles, canned foods, and plate meals. The Genius Sensor detects steam to determine the remaining cooking time. Users can adjust the cooking time by 20% more or less if desired.
- Frozen Food / Sensor Cook: This feature offers automatic cooking for various frozen food categories (Entrées, Pizza, Vegetables, Dinners, Pocket Sandwich) and sensor cooking for fresh foods (Sensor Reheat, Oatmeal, Potatoes, Soup, Breakfast Sausage, Omelet, Fresh Vegetables, Canned Vegetables, White Rice, Brown Rice, Quinoa, Pasta, Stew, Ground Meat, Fish Fillets). The Genius Sensor detects steam to optimize cooking.

- Beep Sound: A beep confirms correct pad presses. Two beeps sound between programmed stages, and five beeps signal the end of a program.
- Food Characteristics and Cooking Techniques: The manual provides detailed guidance on how different food characteristics (bone and fat, density, quantity, spacing, shape, size, starting temperature) affect microwave cooking, along with recommended techniques (piercing, browning, covering, shielding, stirring, rearranging, turning, standing time) and doneness tests.
Maintenance Features
- General Cleaning: The oven's exterior surfaces, labels, and interior cavity should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive soap or detergent. Water should not seep into ventilation openings.
- Door and Seals: The oven door and sealing surfaces should be cleaned with mild, non-abrasive soaps or detergents applied with a sponge or soft cloth. The heat/vapor barrier film and waveguide cover should not be removed.
- Glass Tray and Roller Ring: These components should be removed and washed in warm soapy water or a dishwasher. They must be properly replaced before operating the oven. The Roller Ring and oven floor should be cleaned frequently to prevent excessive noise.
- Control Panel: The control panel is covered with a removable protective film. If it becomes wet, it should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth. Harsh detergents or abrasives should not be used.
- Importance of Cleanliness: The manual emphasizes keeping the oven clean and dry to prevent food residue and condensation from causing rusting, arcing, and damage to the oven. All surfaces, including vent openings, oven seams, and under the glass tray, should be wiped dry after use.
- Troubleshooting: A "Before Requesting Service" section provides solutions for common issues like TV interference, steam accumulation, oven not turning on or starting, wobbling glass tray, noise from the glass tray, and error messages (e.g., "H00", "H97", "H98").
The manual also includes a limited warranty for U.S.A. customers, covering defects in materials or workmanship for one year on all parts (except magnetron tube) and five years on the magnetron tube. It specifies conditions for service, exclusions, and contact information for customer support and accessories.
