When
the
background
is
bright
and
the
object
appears-to
be
too
dark,
adjust
this
knob
to
open
the
lens
iris
opening.
At
the
centre
detent
position,
the
auto
iris
is
operated
in
standard
condition.
Note:
(1)
Whenever
the
iris
is
manually
adjusted,
this
knob
should
be
reset
to
the
centre
detent
position
after
the
camera
is
used
under
unusual
lighting
conditions.
(2)
When
the
camera
is
aimed
at
the
scene
which
contains
excessively
bright
object
such
as
the
sun
or
lamp,
blue
vertical
bar
may
appear
in
the
picture.
This
is
peculiar
phenomenon
of
CCD
and
it
is
normal.
The
camera
should
be
operated
avoiding
such
scene.

Connector

(LENS)
This
connects
the
auto
iris
power
servo
control
zoom
lens
which
automatically
adjusts
the
incoming
light
intensity
by
changing
the
!ens
iris.

output
signal
selector
(COMP-Y/C)
Either
a
composite
video
signal
for
3/4’°
VTR
or
a
Y/C
video
signal
for
1/2'’
VTR
is
fed
from
14P
connector
by
selecting
the
position
of
this
switch.
Standby
Switch
(STANDBY/ON)
This
switch
is
used
for
longer
battery
operation
and
selects
the
conditions
of
the
camera
and
the
Panasonic
portable
VTR
as;
ON:
The
camera
and
the
portable
VTR
are
operated
normally.
The
red
LED
turns
on.
The
cylinder
motor
of
the
portable
VTR
is
OFF
with
the
tape
threaded
and
the
camera
functions
are
also
OFF,
except
Sync
and
Microprocessor.
The
unit
is
in
operating
condition
after
necessary
adjustments.
When
the
camera
and
portable
VTR
are
not
used
for
5-15
minutes,
set
the
switch
to
the
STANDBY
position.
Note
:
1,
When
the
camera
is
operated
with
some
of
other
manufacture’s
VTR,
the
VTR
may
operate
incorrectly
in
the
standby
mode
of
the
camera.
2.
The
white
balance
set
previously
is
memorized
even
if
the
standby
switch
is
set
to
the
STANDBY
position.
