How to Pair a Panasonic KX-A406 to the Panasonic Base Unit

Objective

Pairing a Panasonic KX-A406 to a Panasonic KX-TGP600 base unit.

Applies To

• Panasonic KX-A406 & KX-TGP600

Procedure

Enable repeater mode

1. Find a handset registered to the Panasonic KX-TGP600 Base unit.

2. Press the menu key (middle key).

3. Go to System Settings.

4. Go to Repeater Mode.

5. Select On.

After Repeater Mode has been enabled on the Panasonic KX-TGP600 base unit, you can register the Panasonic KX-

A406 repeater to the base unit. Follow the instructions below to do this.

1. Disconnect the AC adapter from the repeater, if it is not already.

2. Press and hold the handset locator button on the base unit until the status indicator light flashes red,

3. Then release the handset locator button.

4. Connect the AC adapter to the repeater.

5. When the status light on the repeater flashes red, press and hold the program button on the back of the repeater

until the status light and the RSSI/ID light turns solid green.

6. If the status light on the base unit is still flashing red, press the handset locator button once until the status light

is solid green.

7. The repeater is now ready for use.

  If you experience poor audio quality with your Panasonic Repeater, it might be due to range issues. Try moving the repeater closer to the CS (base station). Also, ensure that the PS (portable station) is closer to the repeater.

  If your Panasonic Repeater cannot be registered in Easy Registration mode and the process repeats automatically, the CS (base station) might be out of range. Try moving the repeater closer to the CS. Also, ensure that the CS is turned on.

  If the STATUS indicator and RSSI/ID indicator on your Panasonic Repeater flash green and red alternately, creating an alarm indication, it means the repeater's ID is the same as another repeater registered to the same CS. To resolve this: 1. Press the PROGRAM button to enter ID Confirmation mode. 2. Check the IDs of both repeaters. 3. Enter ID Modification mode by pressing and holding the PROGRAM button for 5 seconds. 4. Change the ID of the repeater to avoid overlap.
