Overview

This document provides operating and installation instructions for Panasonic fully automatic washing machines (domestic use). The models covered are NA-F75S6, NA-F70H6, NA-F70S6, NA-F65H6, NA-F75G6, NA-F62H6, NA-F70G6, NA-F65G6, and NA-F62G6.

Function Description

The Panasonic fully automatic washing machine is designed to efficiently clean various types of textiles. It offers a range of programs and features to cater to different washing needs, from everyday clothes to delicate garments and heavily soiled items. The machine incorporates an ECONAVI function (available on specific models) that automatically adjusts operation time and water level based on detected laundry amount and water temperature, promoting energy and water efficiency.

Key functions include:

  • Washing: The core function, allowing users to wash clothes using various programs and settings.
  • Rinsing: Removes detergent from clothes after washing.
  • Spinning: Extracts water from clothes to reduce drying time.
  • Drying (Air Dry): A feature that removes water from clothes using air blown from the tub rotation, suitable for synthetic fiber clothes.
  • Soaking (Power Soak): Designed for heavily soiled laundry, involving presoaking with powerful swirling water.
  • Tub Hygiene: A program for cleaning the washing machine tub itself, preventing black mold and smell.

Usage Features

The washing machine offers a user-friendly operation panel with various settings and program selections.

Program Selection: The machine provides a diverse range of washing programs:

  • Normal: For daily washing of everyday clothes.
  • Quick: For speedy washing of lightly soiled clothes.
  • Baby-care: For rinsing clothes thoroughly, suitable for babies and people with sensitive skin.
  • Daily Sari: Specifically for washing saris.
  • Gentle Hand Wash: For gently washing delicate clothes and stylish garments, requiring the attachment of a washing board.
  • Delicate: For gently washing delicate clothes and stylish garments, recommending the use of laundry nets.
  • Bed Sheets: For washing bed sheets, advising to put the sheet in a net and load it in the tub.
  • Power Soak: For heavily soiled clothes, involving presoaking.
  • Air Dry: For drying synthetic fiber clothes by air.
  • Tub Hygiene: For cleaning the tub to prevent mold and odors.

Water Level and Temperature Settings:

  • Water Level: The machine automatically detects the laundry amount and sets the appropriate water level. Users can also manually change the water level during the wash process.
  • Temp Setting: Allows users to select between Hot, Warm, or Cold water for washing. Hot water is approximately 40°C, and Warm water is approximately 30°C (when hot water is 50°C and cold water is 20°C). It is advised not to use water hotter than 60°C. This setting is not available for Gentle Hand Wash, Delicate, Air Dry, and Tub Hygiene programs.

Detergent and Softener Dispensing:

  • Detergent (liquid or powder), bleach, and softener should be put into their respective inlets according to the displayed water level guidelines.
  • Detergent should not be put directly into the tub to prevent it from remaining undissolved.
  • Softener is automatically released during the final rinse process. Concentrated softener should be diluted with water before adding.
  • Chlorine bleach should not be used for colored clothes or for Gentle Hand Wash and Delicate programs.

Convenient Functions:

  • Reserve: Users can set a time (2-24 hours later) for the washing operation to finish.
  • Auto Restart: In case of a power failure during operation, the machine will resume from the point where it was stopped once power is recovered.
  • Child Lock: This function prevents children from falling into the tub. If the lid is opened while the machine is operating, a buzzer sounds, and if not closed within 10 seconds, water is flushed out. This function does not lock the lid or button operations.
  • Cancelling End Buzzer: The end buzzer can be turned off or on.
  • Turning the Tub by Hand: If it's difficult to reach the detergent, softener, or lint filter inlets, the tub can be turned manually when the power is on and no water is in the tub.

Pre-laundry Check:

  • To prevent damage and malfunction, users should remove coins, pins, and other small objects from clothes.
  • Buttons should be fastened, and zippers closed.
  • Items like paper diapers should not be washed.
  • Clothes that tend to flake off should be reversed.
  • Pet hair and sand should be removed with a brush.
  • Strings should be tied.
  • For delicate underwear, laundry nets are recommended.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine.

Lint Filter Maintenance:

  • The lint filter should be cleaned after each operation.
  • To clean, remove the filter, open it, remove lint, and if lint is difficult to remove, soak and wash the filter in water.
  • Then, attach the filter back in its original position, ensuring the claws are securely set.
  • It is important not to wash laundry without the filter.

Water Supply Filter Maintenance:

  • If water does not flow smoothly, the water supply filter may be clogged.
  • To clean, turn off both hot and cold water faucets, turn on the power, select Hot or Warm (if applicable), start the machine, and after approximately 40 seconds, turn off the power.
  • Then, loosen the nut, remove the hose, remove the filter, and clean any dirt from it.

Tub Cleaning (Tub Hygiene Program):

  • Once a week (Air Dry): Run the Air Dry program without loading laundry after operations end.
  • Once a month (Tub Hygiene): For a more thorough cleaning, turn on the water faucet, turn on the power, select the Tub Hygiene program, start it, and once the tub is filled with water, pause and add approximately 200 ml of chlorine bleach for clothes. After closing the lid, start the program again. Tub cleaning ends after approximately 2.5 hours.

Main Unit and Lid Maintenance:

  • If stained with detergent or softener, wipe with a soft cloth.
  • For heavy soil, use a neutral kitchen detergent.
  • Avoid splashing water on the unit.

Troubleshooting and Error Display: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as:

  • Time indication increasing or not changing.
  • Longer operation time than indicated or operation not stopping after reservation time.
  • No operation.
  • No water supply or water supplied in the middle of the wash process.
  • Incorrect water level (too high or too low).
  • Rinse starting without water supply.
  • Operation suddenly changing to rinse during spin.
  • Spin starting with rinse when only spin is desired.
  • Irregular rotation during spin.
  • Power failure or tripped breaker.
  • Water outage.

The machine also features an error display system, showing "U" or "H" followed by a number to indicate specific problems:

  • U 11 (Water cannot drain): Check for crushed, clogged, or improperly positioned drain water hose.
  • U 12 (Lid is open): Close the lid.
  • U 13 (Spin or Air Dry is not possible): Distribute clothes evenly, close the lid, and ensure the machine is on a stable surface.
  • U 14 (Water cannot be supplied): Check if the water faucet is on, if the water supply filter is clogged, or if there is a water outage.
  • U 99 (Water has been forcibly drained): Occurs if the lid was open for 10 seconds or more with Child Lock set. Unplug and replug the power cord.
  • H followed by a 2-digit number (Inspection is required): Unplug the power cord and contact a service person.
