Message Mode
Leave audio/video messages for family or
friends.

s One message limit.
e If tape is ejected or battery (if used) is
depleted while in Stand-by mode, the
message mode is canceled. To
playback message (tape is inserted
and/or new power source is attached),
set POWER to VCR and press PLAY.
* Title cannot be displayed in Message
mode.
* If Message mode is selected, the
following functions are not available:
Time Lapse, Security.

Before you begin...
+ Connect Camcorder to power source.
Use AC Adaptor for extended use.
* Insert cassette with record tab (page 13).
s Set POWER to CAMERA.
1 Press MENU for MENU mode.
Press UP 4 or
DOWN Z to select ` ON
. Press VIDEO EFFECTS ` FADE
DISPLAY to select rg
ON,
SELECT: PUSH F/A KEY
SET i DISPLAY KEY
END : PUSH MENU KEY
Press MENŲ for Message Stand-by
Mode. (If cassette is not inserted,
“Ea” will flash.) Flip LCD in
direction of lens.
Press RECORD/ PAUSE to start
recording your message.
* Tally lamp flashes and a display
alerts recipient.
Press RECORD/ PAUSE to end.

* Camcorder auto-rewinds to the
message Start, then goes into
Stand-by mode.

PRESS PLAY KEY
Press PLAY to playback message.
s LCD can be in any position for
playback.
* To cancel feature, set POWER to
OFF.
