Function Description
The Panasonic Air Conditioner is designed to provide cooling and heating for indoor spaces. It utilizes a ducted indoor unit system, allowing for discreet installation within the ceiling, with external air intake and outlet vents. The system is capable of maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures within specified ranges.
Important Technical Specifications
- Indoor Unit Models: S-200PE4E, S-250PE4E
- Outdoor Unit Models: U-200PZH4E8, U-250PZH4E8
- Refrigerant Type: R32 (mild flammable refrigerant, A2L classification). Special care is required for installation, servicing, and disposal due to its flammability. The charging port thread diameter for R32 and R410A is 1/2 inch.

- Heat: 16°C (60.8°F) to 30°C (86.0°F)

Usage Features
- nanoe™X Technology: Automatically starts when the unit is turned on, and can be activated even when the unit is OFF, contributing to a fresher and cleaner environment. In case of power failure during this operation, it resumes immediately upon power restoration.
- Remote Control Options:
- Wireless Remote Controller (Optional): CZ-RWS3 (Infrared Remote Controller), CZ-RWRC3 (The receiver), CZ-CENSC1 (ECONAVI Sensor). These allow for convenient control from a distance.
- Wired Remote Controller (Optional): CZ-RTC5B (High-spec Wired Remote Controller), CZ-RTC6 series (Wired Remote Controller). These provide direct, fixed control over the unit.
- Delayed Operation: The system may have a delay of a few minutes after restarting or initial power-on. For new installations, it requires approximately 5 minutes for "System Auto configuration Process," and for subsequent power-on, 15 seconds for "Program Initialization." This delay is a protective measure for the compressor.
- Automatic Fan Speed Setting: The indoor fan may occasionally stop during automatic fan speed setting or heating operation to optimize performance and prevent unintended cooling effects.
- Odor Removal: The system helps remove surrounding odors.
- Troubleshooting Indicators: The manual provides a list of common symptoms and their causes, such as cracking sounds (due to temperature changes causing expansion/contraction), water flowing sounds (refrigerant flow), mist from the indoor unit (condensation), and water/steam from the outdoor unit (condensation or deice cycle).
Maintenance Features
- Regular Cleaning: Cleaning must be carried out at regular intervals to ensure optimal performance and prevent malfunctions. Consult an authorized dealer for cleaning.
- Safety Precautions for Cleaning:
- Switch off the power supply and unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Avoid touching the aluminum fin due to sharp edges.
- Do not use benzine, thinner, or scouring powder.
- Use only soap (pH 7) or neutral household detergent.
- Do not use water hotter than 40°C (104°F).
- Indoor Unit Cleaning: Involves cleaning the air outlet side duct flange, water drain, and air intake side duct flange (rear).
- Outdoor Unit Cleaning: Involves cleaning debris surrounding the unit and clearing any blockages from the drain pipe.
- Seasonal Inspection (after extended non-use):
- Check for obstructions around air inlets and outlet vents.
- Consult a dealer for inspection, especially since units are mounted inside the ceiling and use external vents.
- After 15 minutes of operation, a temperature difference of ≥ 14°C (25.2°F) for HEAT mode and ≥ 8°C (14.4°F) for COOL mode between air inlet and outlet vents is normal.
- Preparation for Extended Non-Use:
- Activate HEAT mode for 2-3 hours to thoroughly remove moisture from internal parts, preventing mold growth.
- Turn off the power supply and unplug the unit.
- Non-Serviceable Criteria (Contact Authorized Dealer):
- Abnormal noise during operation.
- Water leaking from the indoor unit.
- Frequent circuit breaker trips.
- Unnaturally warm power cord.
- Malfunctioning switches or buttons.
Safety Precautions (General)
- Installation: Must be performed by authorized dealers or specialists. Incorrect installation can lead to leakage, electric shock, or fire. The unit must be installed in a room with a floor area larger than Amin (m²) as specified in the Installation Instructions and kept away from ignition sources.
- Refrigerant Handling: Only trained and certified personnel should handle flammable refrigerants (R32). Mixing different refrigerants is prohibited. Special tools and piping are required for R32/R410A compared to R22. Leak detection equipment suitable for flammable refrigerants must be used.
- Power Supply: Do not use modified, joint, or extension cords. Do not share power outlets with other equipment. Avoid operating with wet hands. Do not over-bend the power supply cord. Periodically wipe dust from the power plug.
- Prohibited Actions:
- Do not insert fingers or objects into the unit's rotating parts.
- Do not touch the outdoor unit during lightning.
- Do not expose yourself directly to cold air for prolonged periods.
- Do not sit or step on the unit.
- Do not wash the unit with water, benzine, thinner, or scouring powder.
- Do not use for preserving precise equipment, food, animals, plants, or artwork.
- Do not use combustible equipment near the airflow outlet.
- Do not expose plants or pets directly to airflow.
- Do not touch sharp aluminum fins.
- Do not switch on the indoor unit when waxing the floor; aerate the room first.
- Do not install in oily or smoky areas.
- Do not dismantle the unit for cleaning.
- Do not step on unstable benches for cleaning.
- Do not place vases or water containers on the unit.
- Do not open windows/doors for extended periods during operation.
- Do not disconnect the plug by pulling the cord.
- Emergency Procedures: If any abnormality occurs (e.g., ELCB trips, burning smell, abnormal noise, water leaks, hot power cord), stop using the product, disconnect power, and contact a dealer.
- Disposal: Old electrical and electronic products and used batteries must not be mixed with general household waste. Dispose of them at applicable collection points according to national legislation. For business users, contact your dealer or supplier.
