What to do if my Panasonic SC-PM313 has no sound or displays an error message?
    • S
      Steven WrightJul 30, 2025
If your Panasonic Stereo System displays “ERROR”, “– –:– –”, or “F61”, or if you experience no sound, reversed sound, sound from only one speaker, or humming, try the following: First, increase the volume. Ensure the speaker cords are correctly connected. If not, turn off the unit, correct the connections, and turn it back on. Also, keep AC power cords and fluorescent lights away from the unit's cables. If the issue persists, you may have plugged in the AC power cord for the first time or experienced a recent power failure, so set the time. If none of these steps work, it could indicate a power supply problem, and you should consult a dealer.

If you're hearing noise, the stereo indicator flickers or doesn’t light, the sound is distorted, you hear a beat sound, or a low hum during AM broadcast on your Panasonic Stereo System, try using an outdoor antenna. Also, turn off the TV or separate it from the unit, and keep the antenna away from other cables and cords.

Why does the TV picture disappear when using my Panasonic SC-PM313?
    • K
      Katherine JohnsonAug 13, 2025
If the picture on your TV disappears or stripes appear on the screen when using your Panasonic Stereo System, it might be due to the antenna's location or orientation. If using an indoor antenna, switch to an outdoor one. Also, ensure the TV antenna wire is separated from the unit.

What to do if recording is not possible on my Panasonic Stereo System?

Why is my Panasonic Stereo System display wrong or not playing?
    • T
      Taylor ScottAug 23, 2025
If your Panasonic Stereo System display is wrong, play won’t start, the total number of tracks displayed differs, you hear unusual sounds, a CD-RW cannot be read, “VBR–” is displayed, or “TAKE OUT/DISC” appears, try the following: Ensure the disc is not upside down. Wipe the disc clean or replace it if it's scratched, warped, or non-standard. If condensation has formed, wait about an hour. For scratched or defective discs, replace them. If the disc was incompletely formatted, fully format it before recording. Note that the unit cannot display the remaining play time for variable bit rate (VBR) tracks. If the tray opens automatically, remove the disc, ensure there is no disc in the tray, and close it.
