If auto focusing is difficult due to the conditions, then use Manual focus.
¬ Change the mode to .
≥ Press the iA/MANUAL button to switch to Manual Focus Mode (l 58)
1 (When MF assist function is used)
Select the menu. (l 27)
2 Use the joystick to select [MF]
3 Bring the subject into focus
with the joystick.
The area in focus will be displayed in blue.
Display will return to normal approximately
2 seconds after the completion of the focus
adjustment operation.
≥ When [MF ASSIST] is set to [OFF], the
blue area is not displayed.
≥ To return to Auto focus, either switch to
[AF] as in step 2, or repress the iA/
MANUAL button.
≥ The blue display does not appear in the
motion picture that is actually recorded.
